Dedication

Today at church was child dedication.  Basically dedicating your child to God to whatever He wants for their life.  And praying for the parents for the years to come as parents.   Teaching them to love God and love others.  Last year we dedicated Emma, this year it was Allie's turn.  As I was on stage this morning along with a few other families I kept thinking how lucky I am to be a mom to two girls.  How blessed I am that God allowed me to be apart of this journey.  Nothing "magical" happens when you take your kids on stage, show a few cute pictures of them on the large screen and pray for them.  All that happened today was our church prayed for our kids, and God heard those prayers.  And that is pretty awesome.
And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today.Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up
Deut. 6:5-7
Were we praying?  i don't think so.  Mike was just blinking and Travis kept looking at the clock on the floor.

Pray for your kids everyday!

Congrats on this special moment! She looks adorable and I love your hair! When we dedicated our youngest, he kept crying and saying, "donuts" over and over again. : )
