Can I do this all day?

If Emma had her way, she would play on this slide all day.
She has no worries or "grown up" things to take care of.
I try to have this mentality at least once a week.
Ug, it is hard though.
I think as a mom we try to do EVERYTHING. (at least i do)
cleaning.
wash the dog
walk the dog
bills
laundry
play dates
meal planning
The list could go on.
Don't get me wrong. I LOVE LOVE LOVE doing these things for my family. But there are days where I just want to slide down a slide ALL day. with no worries or a "to do list" on my mind.
Maybe tomorrow will be my slide day!

definitely. i have to or i might lose it! I call them play days and those are the days we go to the park all day and play at the basketball court and do whatever luke wants to do. it's sometimes difficult to do, but i think luke loves it. oh and i just love love love that little girl. she is just too cute.
good name for them...slide days! i try to have a slide day once a week....sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but i think it's really important for our kids to see us taking slide days, otherwise we are teaching them that their lives should be ruled by to-do lists (or, as i call them ta-da lists) when they grow up to...we not only need to teach them how to be responsible, but how to relax too...you're a great mom! love you!
