My community

About a month ago a student in our community whom we were just starting to get to know had a diving accident. Chandler McBride was life flighted to the hospital where many doctors and nurses worked diligently to help Chandler. After surgery the doctors informed everyone that Chandler was paralyzed with only some movement in his arms.

Chandler has hope though. Through this he has developed a relationship with our God. Is it going to be easy? No. But he has a God who will never leave him.

While Chandler is at the University of Michigan preparing for his new life the community of Three Rivers have stepped up to help. From teenagers hosting fundraisers to a hair salon doing a cut a thon. T-shirts and bracelets made to be sold. And the best event so far, Camp Courageous was brought to life. With Games, food, corn hole tournament, music and a silent auction. So many people came out! It was incredible to see people coming together to help a family out. It was awesome.

If you think about it. Pray for Chandler and his new life. That God will use him in an awesome way.
